5 Most Beautiful Locations in Sylhet to Visit
Though it will be unwise to list only 5 of those mind-blowing places in the Sylhet division yet to bring up the most favorites of mine, I am going to discuss about 5 places around the tea city of Bangladesh.

Ratargul Swamp Forest
Ratargul Swamp forest is the only fresh water swamp forest in Bangladesh which is around 26 km away from the Sylhet city center. To be precise this forest is sink into water in the summer and totally dry during winter and has 26 small sweet water forests in total. There are countless rentable boats to visit this forest which is very safe for all the visitors. No doubt that this place is one of the most visited places among the all the Sylhet tourist’s spots and you can enjoy a beautiful water body covered with wonderful trees. Visiting into the water woods, is also adventurous because of deadly snakes and crazy monkeys. But since you are with professional boat riders you don’t have to worry about anything.

Jaflong
Jaflong is another one of the most beautiful locations in Sylhet that can give you an amazing feeling of hills and water merging together and connecting India with Bangladesh. The water is clean and stony river bed will give you a fresh feeling of taking a bath. According to statistics, almost 90% of the tourists visit Jaflong during their visit to Sylhet.

Bichnakandi
Bichanakandi is just 60 km away from the Sylhet city and you may reach there by various transportation including bus and CNG and engine boats. What I believe, the most viable option to reach this place is by boat because this way only you can see the real beauty of the Ratargul swamp forest and a vast amount of land. On the way to Bichanakandi, you can enjoy the broad waterway and the cleanest weather of Sylhet.

Lalakhal
Lalakhal is another beautiful location in Sylhet which is around 60 km away from Sylhet city. This river is located in Jointapur Upazila and originated from Cheraponji hill. The water body is the cleanest in the country with blue water and has sandy river bed flowing through beautiful hills. Though a part of this river near Tamabil Road is called Shari River but it is popular with the name of Lalakhal.

Srimongol Tea Gardens
Despite the fact that most of Sylhet is covered with tea gardens but this part is different from all because of the nice weather and maximum amount of tea gardens. Most of the time, Srimongol has the lowest temperature in Bangladesh and rains for a lot like all other places in Sylhet.

In short all these above mentioned places are special and they stand out from most of the part of Bangladesh. After Chittagong Hill tracks, Sylhet is the most beautiful and most visited place in Bangladesh which has a lot of beautiful tourist locations including Ratargul, Jaflong and Lalakhal. So Sylhet is the best place to find all the natural beauty in Bangladesh with nicest weather in the country.
